Generative Experiments

Over the past couple of years, I slowly introduced something new into my toolkit as a creative — generative design. As a form of creative freedom driven by code instead of Photoshop or Illustrator, I create what I like to think of as moving abstract paintings. Some of them are responsive to audio input.

This one is responsive to the SBTRKT remix of “Lotus Flower” by Radiohead.

An experiment of generative visuals using the song "Dawn Chorus" by Thom Yorke.

A generative take on the music video for Keaton Henson’s song “Initium.”

Just some balls, man.

This is what happens when you’re a few beers deep at 2am and you think that creating dumb beats in Ableton Live is a good idea.

There’s a 98% chance that this is what going to heaven looks and sounds like. Music is Jonny Greenwood’s film score for “The Phantom Thread.”
